| Equine Enjoy-Yums Ingredients |

| Ingredient | | Provides |
| Human-Grade Rice Bran | | The central ingredient in Enjoy-Yums provides high levels of top-quality natural vegetable fat (20%), high-quality protein, omega 3 and omega 6 essential fatty acids and fiber. Fats are a slow-metabolizing energy source that gives the horse cool-headed, sustained energy. It has a nutty, subtle sweetness horses love. |
| Organic Oat Groats and Organic Oat Flour | | Hull-free oats are a delicious source of easily digested carbohydrates and soluble fiber, in fact the most bio-available source of grain energy for horses. A taste loved by horses for centuries. |
| Organic Oat Bran | | Bran is an excellent source of dietary fiber for the horse, providing bulk to encourage the flow of foods through the gut. Compared to other bran sources, oat bran is particularly high in soluble fibers which have heart-healthy properties. |
| Organic Molasses | | A good source of potassium, calcium and iron; unrefined, unsulphured molasses provides a touch of sweetness and helps give the cookie its crunch. |
| Organic Apples | | A good source of dietary fiber and vitamin C (added). Horses love the smell and taste. |
| Water | | Nature's most important nutrient provides moisture to set the cookie. |
| Calcium Carbonate | | Enjoy-Yums is calcium/phosphorus balanced. The horse requires 1.2 to 2 times more calcium in his daily diet than phosphorus, and most feed manufacturers create that balance by adding calcium carbonate. However, many grains that are typical ingredients in feeds, treats and bran mashes are quite high in phosphorus. These include oats, corn, wheat, and barley, and oat, wheat and rice bran. The horse requires one gram of calcium to metabolize one gram of phosphorus. Without the presence of dietary calcium, the body will re-absorb the needed calcium from the bones. Enjoy-Yums has added calcium carbonate to create a balanced treat that will complement your nutritional program. |
| Natural source vitamin E | | The National Research Council (NRC) Equine Feeding Recommendations focus heavily on feeding adequate vitamin E to help avoid exercise related muscle damage and pain, and to support good immune response to vaccines. Natural source vitamin E is about 35% more bio-available than synthetic E, making this type of E very effective as a supplement to the regular diet. Vitamin E requires the presence of some fat to metabolize, which is provided by the rice bran in Enjoy-Yums. |
| Contains naturally-occurring selenium | | Horses require small amounts of this micro-nutrient to stave off muscle disorders; however, grains and hays grown in many areas of the United States and Canada do not provide adequate amounts of selenium due to soil deficiencies. Enjoy-Yums has .3 parts per million of naturally occurring selenium. Selenium requires vitamin E to metabolize, therefore Enjoy-Yum's combination of vitamin E and selenium is a help to horses otherwise not supplemented with a commercially prepared selenium/E supplement. The amount of selenium in Enjoy-Yums will not overload a selenium/E supplement if your horse is receiving one. However, check with your veterinarian if you wish to investigate further supplementation. Horse Journal finds that a focus on both vitamin E and Selenium is particularly important because of how likely deficiencies are. |
